Janeen Rogers was a stay at home mom who had a love and passion for cooking and preparing food for family, friends, social gatherings, and church. Time and time again, many would say “Momma, you sure can cook”. This birthed an even deeper desire in Janeen to take her homestyle cooking to a whole new level. In Match of 2017, with great anticipation “Momma Can Cook” food truck emerged. Janeen is always saying that the sky is the limit, and she knew it was time. With daughters, Brittany and Brooke being dedicated vegans, be rest assured that Janeen has delicious vegan recipes that broaden the menu as well. Brendon Fox, former manager of Taste of Belgium in the Historic North Market launched his taco cart, FoxFire Tacos in February 2017. He makes authentic Mexican tacos with his own twist on house- made sauces and toppings.
Chas Kaplan has been involved in the food and entertainment business for over 20 years. In 2012 Chas introduced the concept of a FAIR food truck scheduling system for cities and large institutions. The FAIR system uses a mathematical optimization technique the is designed to assure that food truck vendors can be assured of predictable revenue streams while providing the greatest variety of cuisine to patrons. The Ohio State University has contracted with KAG for the past 3 years to provide and manage the FAIR system. The City of Columbus initiated a contract for the same service in 2015. Chas also created and manages the Columbus Food Truck Festival with a partner, Mike Gallicchio. Over the past five years this festival has become the largest and most successful culinary festival in Ohio. Together they created the Columbus Mobile Food Conference and Expo.
Sheila Hunt Rossiter is the founder of Rossiter Marketing and Public Relations, a boutique
agency out of Pickerington.
Her clients range from national recording artists to Columbus' own Johnson's Real Ice Cream.
Before devoting her work full-time to Rossiter Marketing and PR, Sheila oversaw the marketing
and public relations strategy for some of the largest arts and tourist attractions in Ohio.
Sheila has taught Communications courses at Ohio University in Athens where she also
received both her Undergraduate and Master's Degrees in Communications. Sheila was also
selected to attend post-graduate courses at the Getty Leadership Institute in LA.
In addition to running the agency, Sheila is the "Momanger" to two very active children…three if
you count her husband.
Wayne T. Lewis
Wayne serves as President and CEO of 614 Media Group – a company that includes Columbus brands such as (614) Magazine, Stock & Barrel, 1870 Magazine, 614now.com and Restaurant Week. The company also operates DIG Magazine and related products in Baton Rouge, Louisiana – where Wayne got his start in the media business while a student at LSU.
For 20 years, Wayne has leveraged his curiosity, life experiences and hard-won sales skills (ask him about it) to start more than a dozen businesses, generate tens of millions in revenue and employ hundreds of people. He also loves being a living example that ‘print is not dead’.
When not at the office, Wayne is passionate about the art of BBQ, learning how to garden, sand between his toes and watching his 13-year old get better than him at sports.
Omar D’Angelo, owner of Barroluco – Argentine Comfort Food, has dedicated his life to serving his community. D’Angelo started helping his family’s bakery when he was 7 years old and now he can properly say that he has a combined 29 years of business experience, including food handling and preparation, sales, management, distribution, marketing, quality control, and customer service. Emigrating from Argentina, D’Angelo knew little about the American business culture and quickly had to learn, on his feet. Graduating with Cum Laude Honors from Franklin University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, D’Angelo is living proof of the impact that education provides in achieving success, which is illustrated through his dedication to local agencies which support members of our community, their growth, and success.
D’Angelo established his first food truck business in 2016 and in less than a year, this Food Truck had the honor of being awarded the Best Food Truck in Columbus, Westerville, Whitehall and Springfield (3rd place).
